Camp - Lake Okataina

2017 Tauriko Year 5 & 6
Camp at Lake Okataina

Room 15 have discovered a love of haiku - a Japanese poem that consists of 3 lines with a syllable pattern of:

Line 1 = 5 syllables
Line 2 = 7 syllables
Line 3 = 5 syllables

Over the past few weeks we have been challenging our own 'inner poets' and have been writing many haiku. We have noticed that when we read a haiku that uses descriptive words it helps create a picture in our mind about what the poem is about.

* Your challenge: Using the image above or drawing on your own personal camp experiences, publish your very own camp inspired Haiku.
We can't wait to read them!
